Calzaghe cannot help Kessler beat me - Froch

Carl Froch insists that he is untroubled by reports that his next opponent Mikkel Kessler could be set to receive guidance from Joe Calzaghe.

WBC super-middleweight champion Froch never achieved his often-stated aim of facing Calzaghe in the ring, causing the two fighters to become embroiled in a war of words following Calzaghe's retirement in February 2009.

Last month Calzaghe labelled Froch a "bitch", before being labelled as "strange" in return. Responding to rumours of Calzaghe's desire to advise Kessler, Froch showed no willingness to end the feud.

"Calzaghe was not man enough to fight me and maybe feels a bit more secure whispering in another fighter's ear than taking my punches himself. He never had the bottle to fight me so how can he know how to beat me?" he said.

Kessler, who faces Froch on April 24 in Denmark, confirmed he would be willing to accept Calzaghe's advice. "I am honoured if Calzaghe will help me. If he has something to offer I will be more than happy to listen," he said.
