Haddenham's Tornado Tyler Goodjohn, is looking to put his next opponent in a spin at Wembley Arena on Saturday 19th February when he appears on the undercard of the Lenny Daws vs. Ashley Theophane and John O'Donnell vs. Craig Watson, British title double header.
The young Light Welterweight, who made his debut back in September 2010 by stopping his opponent in spectacular style, is looking forward to hitting the ground running and starting the year by securing his first win of 2011.
"I'm just gonna keep my feet on the ground, it's easy to get above your station when you're fighting on such a massive show. I've got to keep on training hard and keep learning from my fights. I'm with a great trainer in Tony Sims and I'm only 19 so I've got it all to look forward to."Said Tyler.
"In the week leading up to and come fight night I'm sure there will be pre fight nerves, but it's a massive occasion for me to showcase how much I'm progressing in the pros and that really motivates me, not many people get the chance to box at such prestigious venues like Wembley Arena in their 3rd fight, so I'm gonna make the most out of this opportunity."
"Whoever is put in front of me on the night will have to take cover, I'm going to show how brutal and dangerous being stuck in a Tornado can be." Added Goodjohn.
This great night of Championship boxing will be headlined by two British title fights, the first title fight of the night will see Morden's Lenny Daws looking to defend his British Light Welterweight title for a 3rd time and secure the Lonsdale belt outright when he squares up against Paddington's Ashley Theophane.
The second British title up for grabs on the night will be for the welterweight crown, this will be contested between Shepherd's Bush resident John O'Donnell and Craig Watson of Manchester. These two last meet back in April 2009 and produced 12 rounds of exciting boxing in which O'Donnell was crowned the new Commonwealth champion.
To add spice to this already great event, Heavyweight Sensation Tyson Fury will be in a 10 round Special Attraction fight, opponent to be confirmed.
Colchester's Commonwealth title challenger Lee "Lights Out" Purdy will be in back in action defending his Southern Area title against former British title challenger Michael Lomax of Chingford.
Joining these fighters at Wembley will be a host of talented young boxers including Haddenham's Tornado Tyler Goodjohn, Phill Fury of Lancaster, Chris "Flash" Evangelou of Enfield and his bother Andreas Evangelou who will be making his pro debut.
