Fury v Belshaw

Tyson Fury, 20, the 6ft 9in heavyweight prospect from Manchester, went some way to showing he is more than hype as he stopped Scott Belshaw, a 6ft 7in Ulsterman, in two rounds, knocking him down twice. It was the sixth win in as many months as a professional for Fury, who is quick for his size and is developing his power.

Another heavyweight hope, Derek Chisora, could miss out on a British title shot against Danny Williams, which is pencilled in for next month, after being caught on television biting Paul Butlin, his opponent, on the ear during a warm-up bout on Friday.

The incident was missed by Parris, the referee who was on the blind side, but it was clearly picked up by Sky's camera, followed by Chisora, who won the bout on points, wiping his mouth with his glove. He looks certain to face censure from the British Boxing Board of Control, which could include a suspension that would rule out the Williams bout.
