Unbeaten Carl Froch, Britain's only world champion boxer, has taken a swipe at the taxman and revealed he may one day flee to Spain.

The WBC super-middleweight title-holder says being forced to hand over 50 per cent of his ring earnings may drive him out of the country.

Froch, 31, took a huge hit in the pocket when his last-gasp KO of American Jermain Taylor was not shown live by any British television company.

He said: "I think it's a real shame I am even thinking of moving.

"I love my country and I love my home city of Nottingham.

"I don't want to leave but I might be forced to do so because 50 per cent tax is just so outrageous.

"You can't ask anyone to pay 50 per cent of what they earn on taxes, much of which is used to prop up people who can't be bothered to work or who are fiddling the system."
