Kid Galahad: Me vs. Frampton would be like Naz vs. Robinson

Hennessy Sports 3rd May, 2012

The current WBC International Super Bantamweight champion Kid Galahad believes that a fight against commonwealth champion Carl Frampton would be a repeat of the Prince Naseem vs. Steve Robinson fight.

Kid explained "It is a very tough division, and although Quigg, Frampton and Munroe are good fighters they are all one dimensional. Munroe could surprise a few people against Quigg and I feel Frampton is the weakest of the three.

"But I would love that fight, me vs. Frampton would be like Naz v Robinson all over again but I will leave the route planning to my manager John Ingle and promoter Mick Hennessy, between them they guided Junior Witter to a World Title so I'm sure I can follow in his footsteps."

But before the Hennessy Sports promoted fighter goes after that fight he must get past Barnsley's Josh Wale at the Hillsborough Leisure Centre on Saturday May 12 when he defends his WBC International title.

"I believe this will be a harder fight than the likes of Frampton, Josh is a tough kid and comes to fight, he is a pressure fighter so for the first half of the fight he is going to be dangerous and he can't be under estimated, but if he makes a mistake I will capitalise on it and make him pay.

"My intentions are to stop him possibly middle rounds, but if it does go the distance then so be it." Added Kid.

When asked are you enjoying the attention you're getting from fighting live on terrestrial TV Kid Galahad replied "I have always had good support and hopefully my style and personality appeals to the wider audience and hopefully I can build the terrestrial TV audience every time I step in the ring.

"I want to thank Mick Hennessy and Channel 5 for giving me this fantastic opportunity."

Galahad vs. Wale which is proudly presented by Hennessy Sports in association with Alma Ingle will be televised live on Channel 5 from 10:30pm.
