Witter To Fight On?

Despite quitting at the end of the eighth round in his bid to regain the WBC junior-welterweight title, being behind on all the judges score cards and nearer the age of 36 years -Junior Witter refuses to contemplate retirement.

The Bradford switch hitter was soundly beaten by American Devon Alexander, whose speed,youth and determination played a vital factor in securing victory at the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage, California on Saturday night.

Despite all of the above Witter has all but confirmed he will fight on, speaking after the fight Witter said: "I don't think it's my last fight. I now have to decide where I'm going now and which way I go about it."

At the end of the eight completed rounds all three judges had the undefeated Alexander clearly in fornt by scores of 79-73 twice and 80-72.
