I have future says Witter

Sheffield Sta3rd August, 2009

JUNIOR Witter believes he still has a future in the ring at the age of 35 despite losing a world title challenge he had framed as a make-or-break fight.

The Sheffield boxer failed to regain the vacant WBC light-welterweight title he had lost in Nottingham 15 months ago when he handed American southpaw Devon Alexander the belt after quitting at the end of the eighth round in California last night.

Witter suffered an elbow injury during the fourth round a cut above his right eye and was behind on points.

Witter said: "I don't think it's my last fight. I've got to decide exactly where I'm going now and which way I go about it."
