BBBC orders rematch of Tyson Fury v John McDermott fight

The British Boxing Board of Control has ordered Tyson Fury and John McDermott to fight each other again following their controversial English heavyweight championship contest earlier this month.

Referee Terry O'Connor awarded the fight to Manchester's Fury 98-92, despite most observers feeling McDermott had done enough for victory in the 10-round contest in Brentwood, Essex.

The board accepted the decision was controversial and the rematch will take place later this year.

Fury will fight as holder of the belt after the board stood by the original result.
