Michael Hennessy Jr Secures 5th Round Stoppage Victory

On Saturday night talented Super Welterweight prospect, Michael Hennessy Jr, made his Skysports debut at the Alexandra Palace against James McCarthy.

Marking his 12th fight, the Sevenoaks native was giving his first showing under a new partnership with fighter-turned-coach, Bradley Skeete. Despite only having worked together for less than a month, the results were immediately visible as Michael not only applied his usual boxing smarts, but with a hint of aggression that eventually forced the referee’s intervention in round 5

Having hurt his opponent numerous times, Michael zoned in for the kill after a barrage of right hands and uppercuts. It was the ideal end to a year in which Michael had quietly been working on his craft and, no doubt, will be looking to progress his work with his new coach and show off his development in the new year
