Before Nick Blackwell and Jack Arnfield contest the British middleweight title on Saturday night (November 14) in Bristol, live on Channel 5, fight fans can catch live action from an all-star undercard on Spike from 7.30pm.
Heavyweight Young Fury will kick off proceedings on Spike in a four-rounder against Lithuania’s Imantas Davidaitis. Exciting and aggressive, Fury, younger brother of Tyson, looks to build on his impressive one-round demolition Ostaps Basins in July with another show-stealing performance.
Next, hot prospect Yusuf Safa will face Czech Republic’s Jiri Jaros over six rounds at super-featherweight. This is an important fight for Safa, who has been out of the ring for seven months, as an explosive win over Jaros will give him some much-needed momentum heading into 2016.
We then move back up to heavyweight, as Hughie Lewis Fury, one of the best young heavyweights in the world, tackles Argentina’s Ezequiel Zarate over eight rounds. Fury has enjoyed a productive year so far, defeating the likes of Andriy Rudenko and George Arias, and intends to add the scalp of Zarate to his 16-fight unbeaten record.
Finally, Cardiff’s unbeaten cruiserweight Craig ‘The Kid’ Kennedy warms up for a potential British title shot with an eight-round contest against Hungary’s Tamas Bajzath. Kennedy, unbeaten in twelve fights, has a British cruiserweight title eliminator lined up against Tony Conquest early next year, and then hopes to fight for the British title soon after.
At 10pm attention turns to the main event between Blackwell and Arnfield, televised live on Channel 5, as well as an intriguing eight-round flyweight bout between former Olympian and world amateur star Andrew Selby and unbeaten Hungarian Jozsef Ajtai.
