Unbeaten heavyweight prospect, Tommy Welch, moved to 10-0 on Friday night after a third-round knockout victory over the Mexican, Carlos Carreon

The shorter stature and an unpredictable style of the opponent, encouraged Tommy to be on high alert from the looping overhand rights from the Mexican. And with a sharp defence and educated footwork,  was able to gauge the distance to counter with jabs and combinations to the body.

The Mexican would taste the canvas three times in total, with the final blows coming from repeated right hands in the third round

This win follows on from Tommy’s outing two weeks ago against Pavel Sour, where the Brighton fighter secured a 6-round points victory over the experienced Czech.
